Timing

Somehow along the way, we got into a habit of going, going, going all the time. We’ve been doing it for so long, we rarely stop to think about what what we’re doing and if it really matters. We just get up each morning and get on life’s treadmill.
Why?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could stop time long enough to get caught up? Well, maybe some time travel allow us to do just that. But time is not real issue. It’s how we choose to spend our precious time that determines how fulfilling our lives are.

Discover Your Talents

Have you ever had a gut feeling so strong you just had to go with it?
It turned out to be the best thing you could have done, didn’t it? Let your instinct guide you.

The next time you start to compare yourself to someone you think is brighter, prettier, worthier, or whatever, stop.

You are who you are- a very unique and special individual.

Believe in yourself!

That’s all that really matters.

Be Here Now

Watch you every move. Over the next week, before you do anything, ask yourself why you are doing it. Is it important? Is it important enough to do right now?

A ringing telephone is a perfect example. Most people automatically answer the phone without deciding to answer it. It’s there for convenience, but how easy it is to become enslave by it!

Slow down. Practice awareness. Try this simple exercise: Stand up and deliberately move across the room in a slow motion. Notice how it increases your awareness and expands time. That’s what slowing down in life can do for you.

How much of what you is action and how much is reaction?
By paying close attention to what you are doing, you can make more conscious choices about how you spend your time.

Making a Decision

If you have trouble making a decision,

ask yourself

if it will matter in five years.

If it won’t, then you can relax in the knowledge that there is more than one “right” decision.

You are The most important Person

Choosing to put yourself first is not being selfish; it’s being self-caring, you will have more to give to others.
There’s a big difference.
Caring for yourself - physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually - will make you happier, healthier, and better able to cope with the demands of daily living. In fact, by puting your own needs first and reserving even just a little more time and energy for yourself for yourself, you will have more to give to others.

No Matter how viliantly we try, we can’t do everything all of the time. And we can’t do some things as often or as we would like to do them. So we wind up feeling like we failed somehow. Yes, family is important. And, yes, there’s only so much time in a day. But if you don’t take care of your own needs, who will?
