Turn on! Turn On! Turn On!

Turn On, Turn On, Turn On!

No matter where you are, you can always turn turn on with some kind of warm feeling if you really want it to.
Turn on as you look out of the window kitchen. Turn on as you walk out the door in the morning. Turn on as you board subway. Turn on as you make copies. Turn on when to get up in a morning.
Until you can find that buzz of joy, or buzz of appreciation,  or being in love, or gratitude, even when common sense says you haven’t a thing to be grateful for, you’re not flowing your energy to everywhere you want to go. But if your desire is to blast out into a new life for yourself, then learn to turn on any way you can, no matter what’s happening around you. NO MATTER WHAT!
If you want to change something, if you want that magnificent feeling of fulfillment, or to feel a depth of happiness not normally known to you, if you want to have whatever it is you don’t have now, then learn to get your motor running and turn it on!

Wisdom can be learned and earned. Change your “don’t wants” to “Do wants.”

Hard to believe, the  majority of our daily thoughts-and therefore feelings-are about things we don’t want: big and little, here and there, now, back then, and in the future. This kind of thinking is endless, mostly automatic and unconscious, and horrendously restraining. Take a look:

We don’t want to drive to work in bad weather
We don’t want to be late to work
We don’t want to displease our boss
We don’t want to look bad
We don’t want to get flu
We don’t want to get fired
We don’t want to get up early in the morning
We don’t want to have any more bills
We don’t want to live in such a cold climate
We don’t want the light turn red
etc., etc., etc.

Do you want want something other then what you don’t want?

Here is how you start changing your own thoughts to what you want:

I want to get well
I want to be free of debt
I want to reduce weight, or control weight
I want my spouse to get a better job
I want to look my best
I want to find my passion again
I want to get up early in the morning

Wisdom can be Learned and Earned

…Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool then for him.

Prov 26:12

It’s hard not to roll your eyes when someone talks as if the whole world were about him. (”That’s enough of me talking about me. Now you talk about me!”) People who consider themselves wise  have closed the door on the spirit of wisdom. The philosopher Bernard Russel) is credited with saying “One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief then one’s work is terribly important.” Former President of France Charles de Gaull (1890-1970) said, Tthe graveyards are full of indispensable men.”

Not only wisdom can be gotten, it can also be learned and increased. Getting wisdom begins when we realize we don’t have it. If we feel won’t have it, then obviously we seek this priceless gift. Wisdom sharpens us. Wise is linked to the sharpening of an ax, whereby the amount of effort is less than if you using a blunt tool.
Wisdom can reduce our efforts in achieving the same or even greater results - the greater the wisdom, the less the effort, the greater the results.
