Laugh Out Loud!

Good buy 2010 and Meet 2011

“Sometimes I laugh out loud just remembering someone else laughing out loud. Why does it feel so good to make someone laugh?
Because it’s a selfish and generous action, both at the same
time…
When we make others laugh, it’s exhilarating.
It means someone was actually listening to us.
Laughter also releases endorphins that ease pain, heartache, or sadness (or so the story goes).

What a gift.”    - Bonnie Hunt, actress

WISHING YOU LAUGH A LOT. After ALL when you look
back at something you thought wasn’t funny turns out to be laughable when you look back.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Find a Mentor

Wisdom can be Learned and Earned

“Confidence is a very fragile thing.”

Joe Montana

If you didn’t have that kind of parenting that helped you develop self-confidence, it’s not too late. Find someone you
respect, in a field you can love, and ask that person to be your
mentor. Most people are flattered by the request and will do what they can to help you.

Mentoring is not therapy or even life coaching. It is a process by which someone who has more knowledge and experience
in certain areas then you, and who is willing to share what she/he learned, helps you navigate the rapids of work and life.

The confidence you get from having someone nearby whom you trust, who knows what she/he is doing, and knows who you are, is a tremendous gift. If you have never had a  mentor, it’s not too late. If it’s been a while, then maybe getting another one is a good idea, because the problems we face in the world
today are not going away; they ar just getting complicated.

When confusion strikes, and we don’t know what to do in the moment, it rattles our self-confidence.
Talking with a mentor is a great way to reinforce your abilities and remind you that you have the smarts and the skills, as well
as another person to help you vanquish the challenges of life.

Instant Confidence Builders

Wisdom Can Be Learned and Earned

When things get out of control and you  momentarily lose your confidence, there are any number of little things you can do to regain it.

Wash your hands and face, brush your teeth. It cools your body, which is relaxing, and gives you that “freash start” feeling.

Look at your diploma or certificate of achievement you have.
And if it’s not framed, do it now. These are reminders of your accomplishments, and taking in your success is important to maintaining your confidence.

Remember your last or greatest success and think about it for 60 seconds. Taking in your success as often as possible will help you reach another and another. Quite simply, it reminds you that, because you have done it before, you can do it again.

Organize your closet and get rid of anything that no longer
fits. Throwing out the old cloths makes room for new. Feeling that you get from putting on a new “power suit” fills you with
self-esteem.

Cook  a lovely meal. Even if  you are by yourself, prepairing
a tasty dinner, setting the table,  treating yourself to a wonderful culinary experience will lift your spirits. Sharing it with someone you love and/or respect will make it even more nurturing.

Look around you, remember that you started with nothing, and know that everything you see, you created.

We  can all lose our feelings of self-worth, especially when something goes wrong in our world. The real truth is that, if you have done it before, you can do it again. No matter what.

Whatever you call it - you need one

Wisdom can be learned and earned

” Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe,
call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.”

Joyful Activities

Wisdom Can Be Learned and Earned

Regardless of your current station in life, you have a spiritual contract to make joy your constant companion.
Know that you don’t have to live a life filled with less-then-joyful activities.
