I Never Met My Mother
- Janna Sosensky
" I Never Met My Mother  is a book about a remarkable woman who rises above a
truly wounding, abused childhood and life in a Russia where women rarely
experienced true emancipation. This is an autobiography that is sordid and ugly,
tender and beautiful, and always unflinchingly honest. At the end, freed of various
nightmarish or heartbreaking burdens, its author is triumphantly a step away from a
new life."

I HAVE A DREAM - By Janna Sosensky

The dream of my life is to establish a special orphanage in order to
give orphaned children a chance at life.  I see it as more than just an orphanage.
Rather, it would be a place that would provide the children with special mentoring,
direction and opportunities.

Having myself lived in an orphanage in Russia as a young child, my personal
experience has had a huge bearing on the decision to direct my life towards a
situation I was and am familiar with.

Personally, I don't believe donating to orphanages is what works best. The truth is
that orphaned children are constantly being stolen from. Sad to say, many who have
tried to direct their help monetarily or in other ways have found that their gifts have
not been received by the youngsters they were intended for.  I myself have been one
of those who discovered this unfortunate situation.

For the kind of orphanage I dream about, of course, funding would be needed.
Isagenix already sponsors a company, Childhelp, for abused children and it has
succeeded in giving them a chance and much needed hope, thereby creating a real
difference in the lives of these young people. Isagenix set out to give help to these
needy children and in doing so has accomplished a most worthy and important goal.

The orphanage I have in mind would give special attention to the children in every
direction. Like those from privileged families, my dream orphanage would be set up
for the youngsters' true development.  In other words, help would be provided in the
nurturing of their talents in the sciences or in the arts, in the way that only the
well-to-do can afford to give their children.

Most institutions cannot afford the kind of help this would require, but through
Isagenix I hope to see this idea come to fruition. My hope is that my book,
I Never Met My Mother, may be the funding tool to turn my lifelong dream into a
reality.
