I Never Met My Mother
" It doesn't matter where you come from,

what's important is where you are going. "
- Janna Sosensky
I Never Met My Mother, is my life story. The book has 40 chapters in all and it
deals with life in Russia during the Soviet regime, from 1941 up to 1974, when I
emigrated to North America.

I don't believe that this particular period of time in Russia has been
documented as fully by any woman, as my account of life in an orphanage,
home life, and school. The book deals with such crucial subjects as child
abuse, homosexuality, abortion, the workplace, human rights and other
important issues.

This book speaks to every person who has ever left their country of origin for
good - especially to women.
