Tell You Story
One of my business adventures were creating a project in Costa Rica.
It was prompted by economy downfall during 1989-91.
Me and my partner Jack sold everything in Canada and moved to Costa Rica.
I was working on my “Dream” project called ” Not Just Another Hotel”
At that time, I started to notice how many middle age couples were
divorcing. I’ve seen men going after women of their children age, meanwhile their wives were going
for plastic surgeries.
I watched , and watched, I listened and listened.
I was wondering about what could be done to help them to understand that how much of their experience and appreciation of themselves could bring them the happiness they were looking for.
I was convinced that all those sad people were looking for happiness in the wrong places.
I was thinking that there must be a way for them to discover their talents, to help them to understand that every wrinkle is actually a result of their love and laughter, sorrow and joy of priceless life experiences.
I wanted to help them to to discover it, and learn to appreciate themselves more. I wanted to show them how they could learn about themselves, and hoping that through this process they could start their “second life.”
Of course, I wasn’t going to do it all by myself. I wanted to have professionals to come, and have all kinds of classes in this beautiful country where the sun rises at five in the morning all year round, even during it’s winter months.
Oh, by the way, don’t kid yourself.
There is no place that is perfect. There is a downside in this climate too. It’s a rainy season during the winter. The rain starts at exactly twelve every day during witer months, and goes on till five or six, sometimes all the way through the night. At five in the morning, the sun comes right up.
I was very excited about my project.
Along with all this excitement came many road blocks, called for stress that I was turning into a “stress solving guru.”
As I am looking back, I understand now why I did what I did.
I also see how many good things I’ve learned while I thought I was doing it just to survive, and slowly move forward.
Tomorrow, I’ll tell you The Story
called “My Garden Vase”
