Pay attention to the power of Your Words.

A careless word may knife strife;a cruel word may wreck a life;

a timely word may lessen stress; a loving word may heal and bless.

Steve Chandler, author of 100 Ways to Motivate Yourself says that within the first few minutes of a conversation, he can tell if the other person thinks like a victim or like an owner.

Let’s call them “winners” and “whiners”

Whiners say, “I should do x.”
Winners say “I want to do x”

Whiners say, “These people are driving me crazy.’

Winners say, “I control my feelings. I am not going to let these people get to me.”

Whiners say, “I am swamped. I’ll never have this stuff done.”

Winners say, ” I’m going to prioritize, then do the important staff first.”

Whiners are reactive.
Winners are proactive.

Whiners say,”It’s awful.”
Winners say,’How can I make the best of this?”

Whiners say, “I’ll never get this right.”
Winners say, “This is harder then I thought. I can see I still have a lot to learn.”

Whiners focus on blame.
Winners focus on solutions.

Whiners’ thought patterns and self-talk lead to fatigue and despair.
Winners’ thought patterns and self-talk lead to action.

Whiners think:’How I can get through this?’
Winners think”What can I get from this?”

Whiners feel powerless.
Winners feel personal power.
