Let’s clarify. Self Esteem and Self-Confidence are two very powerful experiences you can begin to create for yourself right now, in this moment.
Self esteem is not to be confused with self-confidence.
Self-confidence is how capable you feel in a situation. It is very easy to feel confident about your ability to perform in a job if this is what you’ve been doing all your life. But now you’re entrepreneur, and if this is new to you, you may find that foundation of self-confidence begins to wobble if you have not also developed a strong sense of self-esteem.
Self-esteem is how you feel about you, and self acceptance is the ability to approve of of every aspect of yourself as a whole, understanding that as a human being you are in in a constant process of growth and transition. Consider for a moment your role models for self-esteem.
Who is your role model?
Do you know what qualities you’re admiring the most in choosing your role model.
I know what I am looking for.
My role model has to come from the place of challenged past and turned themselves around in a big way in spite of it.
They have to have outspoken personality, they have to have artistic hobbies or talents, they have to have passion and be unstoppable in pursuing their vision. They have to be giving, and generous without agenda, and be great dressers. My list can go on and on.
What are the qualities you’re looking for in your role model (s)?
Make your role model (S) aware of your intentions to co-create, to improve, to advance in your own way those qualities. Ask them to become your mentor. Stay in focus with it for at least a year, and you will see your own self-esteem will reflect in the success you’re looking for.
Thank you so much.
